Winter Blues 2025 Shopping List

To brighten up February, I toured my house and made a list of practical products I use daily. They are cost-effective and work well.

While the product list is a bit random, our practice members always ask for recommendations…so here you go! No Oprah’s list…just my list.

New Patient Special:

To celebrate the launch of our website, new chiropractic exams/x-rays are $97 (instead of $285). Click to schedule here.

Garnish and Gather:

Curated, locally sourced meal kits that provide fresh ingredients and easy-to-follow recipes for creating restaurant-quality meals at home. Use code BalanceATL for one free meal kit.

Best Full Body Massage:

I send anyone who asks about massage to Penny at Treat Your Feet Buckhead. Book a deep tissue massage in a private room. She is truly one of the top three massage therapists I have experienced…and she’s a wonderful person.

Best Foot Massage:

The Sole Spa is down the street from Balance Atlanta – a Zen environment of absolute peace.

Light Therapy Lamp:

To beat Seasonal Affective Disorder when the weather is gloomy – $66.

Oscillococcinum:

Homeopathic non-drug cold and flu medicine which tastes like sugar and works like a charm. Safe for kids, too.

Women’s Cotton Sweatpants with Pockets:

Super comfy, soft and multiple colors are available – $30.

Ear Plugs:

I grew up in noisy cities—these work well, especially if you share a bed with someone who snores – $19 for 36 pairs.

Cordless Table Lamp, restaurant style:

I place these on the dining room table and in the bathroom. Soft, ambient lighting feels better while eating or getting ready in the morning – $50 for two.

Greens Blend Super Food, Berry Flavor:

If you don’t feel like juicing but want the benefit of anti-oxidants, digestive enzymes, and probiotics from plants.

JBL Speakers:

Tiny, portable, waterproof, dustproof, Bluetooth wireless, huge sound with a punchy bass – $40.

Vertical Mouse:

Prevents carpal tunnel syndrome as an alternative to the usual mouse configuration.

Foldable Mini Trampoline:

For a fun cardio workout to rev up the heart rate, strengthen bones and improve lymphatic drainage.

Breville Smart Oven Air Fyer Pro:

It is the one countertop appliance I use most often. It functions as an oven, air fryer, toaster, dehydrator, and broiler. It is worth the price of $399.

Acure Skin Gel:

Gently cleans your face without drying the skin. This product is just as good as expensive brands – $8.27.

 Thayers Witch Hazel:

Soothes skin, tightens pores. There’s nothing fancy about this classic – $6.00

Pacha Whipped Soap:

The soap smells great; it comes in a jar (less goop); it’s slightly gritty to exfoliate; a little goes a long way – $8.

Polo Ralph Lauren Socks:

They don’t fall. Enough said! I only buy one brand of socks, so I spend less time matching socks while doing laundry or searching for “orphan” socks – $24 for three pairs.

Velvet Hangers:

The hangers keep clothes from falling; they take up very little space, and the ends are rounded to prevent “shoulder bumps” on your garments – $30 for 50 hangers.

Lavender Linen Spray:

Spritz in your closet to freshen up small rooms and to prevent moths from chewing on delicate sweaters – $10.
